What should be done to check for chronic cervicitis

Examination of the uterine cavity can detect cervicitis in its early stages. Due to surgery, some women may develop cervicitis during the operation. Therefore, female friends must go to the hospital for regular re-examinations after the operation. Only in this way can we avoid chronic cervicitis from harming our originally healthy bodies.

What tests should be done for chronic cervicitis

Gynecological examination

First, check the size, shape, texture, thickness of the cervical canal, and whether there is contact bleeding. Then check the condition of the vulva, vagina, uterus, and paracervical tissues.

Cervical smear cytology

Routine examination is simple, easy, cost-effective and is the most important auxiliary examination and the preferred initial screening method for cancer prevention surveys.

Colposcopy

It can quickly detect lesions that are invisible to the naked eye and take biopsies from suspicious areas during colposcopy, which can significantly improve the accuracy of biopsies.

Iodine test and visual observation

This method is very simple and cheap, and can detect at least 2/3 of the lesions. Currently, the World Health Organization (WHO) recommends the use of naked eye observation in developing countries. As a preliminary screening method for cervical cancer, 3%-5% acetic acid solution is used to smear the cervix, observe the reaction of the cervical epithelium to acetic acid, and then take a biopsy from the white lesion area.

Female friends should take good care of their uterus, because the future life will be born here. According to surveys, more than half of married women will suffer from gynecological inflammation. If they do not pay attention to preventing cervicitis, the chance of developing the disease will be very high.
