There are many gynecological diseases, and common gynecological diseases are not few. Pelvic inflammatory disease is the inflammation of the female pelvic reproductive organs. Pelvic inflammatory disease is the abbreviation. Pelvic inflammatory disease is divided into acute and chronic, but from the perspective of traditional Chinese medicine, it is divided into many types. Let's take a look at the classification of pelvic inflammatory disease in traditional Chinese medicine.

Pelvic inflammatory disease is also divided into the following five categories:

1. Damp-heat type: symptoms include low fever, burning pain in the lower abdomen, dry mouth and no desire to drink, heavy vaginal discharge with thick yellow color or a mixture of red and yellow, red tongue with yellow and greasy coating, and slippery and rapid pulse.

2. Heat toxicity type: symptoms include high fever, chills, headache, lower abdominal pain that is resistant to pressure, vaginal discharge with a large amount of pus and foul odor, yellow urine and constipation, yellow tongue coating, and slippery or stringy pulse.

3. Damp-heat and blood stasis type: Symptoms include lower abdominal distension and pain that is resistant to pressure, bitter and dry mouth, yellow and thick vaginal discharge, turbid urine, constipation, dark red tongue, yellow or white tongue coating, and wiry or rapid pulse.

4. Blood stasis type: Symptoms include persistent pain in the lower abdomen that refuses to be pressed, or irregular menstruation, or heavy menstrual flow with clots, dark purple tongue, or ecchymosis, thin tongue coating, and deep, stringy or astringent pulse.

5. Chong and Ren deficiency-cold type: Symptoms include cold pain in the lower abdomen, preference for warmth and pressure, excessive vaginal discharge with thin white content, fear of cold and cold limbs, pale tongue, thin white fur, and deep and fine pulse.

The above is the introduction of TCM on the classification of pelvic inflammatory disease. From the above content, we can know that TCM can divide pelvic inflammatory disease into damp-heat type, heat toxicity type, damp-heat stasis type, blood stasis type and Chong and Ren deficiency and cold type, etc. Different types also have different symptoms, and there are certain differences between them, so it is better to prescribe the right medicine when treating.
