Laboratory tests required for adnexitis

Routine examination of adnexitis:

1. Urinalysis: Determine whether there is any abnormality in the hormone level in the body, and also check which bacteria is causing it.

2. Ultrasound examination: Generally speaking, there are no abnormal findings in ultrasound examination, unless there is hydrosalpinx or tubal ovarian cysts are formed, in which case ultrasound examination may reveal a mass.

3. Examination of secretions : In the examination of acute adnexitis, the leucorrhea may be purulent or homogeneous mucous, the adnexa are often tender and painful, and sometimes there may be inflammatory masses with adhesions of the fallopian tubes and ovaries.

4. Abdominal palpation: During general gynecological examination, the uterus is retroflexed, has poor mobility, and is tender. If an inflammatory mass is formed, the mass can be felt beside the uterus or behind the uterus during the examination, with poor mobility and tenderness.
