What preparations should be made before artificial abortion

Artificial abortion refers to the termination of pregnancy by surgical means, also known as "artificial" termination of pregnancy. Surgical methods include vacuum aspiration and curettage; vacuum aspiration is to use a hollow straw to enter the uterine cavity and use negative pressure to suck out the embryonic tissue in the uterus, while curettage is to use oval forceps to clamp out large pieces of embryonic tissue in the uterus. Artificial abortion can be performed before 14 weeks of pregnancy. When you find that you are pregnant but do not want to have children or cannot have children, you should first go to the hospital to see a doctor to determine whether it is an intrauterine pregnancy. If it is an intrauterine pregnancy, you should try to get an artificial abortion within 10 weeks.

Because the later the pregnancy, the more difficult the surgery is and the more complications there are, so do not wait until the later the pregnancy to have an abortion or induced labor. Before an artificial abortion, you should have a comprehensive physical examination, gynecological examination, blood, urine, liver and kidney function tests to rule out other diseases and infections. If there is an infection, you should first take anti-inflammatory treatment before surgery.

Sexual intercourse should be avoided within one week before the operation. You should take a bath and change clothes one day before the operation to avoid catching a cold.

Do not eat or drink some sugar water on the morning of the surgery, and keep warm. If the body temperature exceeds 37.5℃, the surgery should be performed on another day. During the surgery, you must cooperate closely with the doctor and do not be too nervous.
