3. Multiple miscarriages

However, women who take contraceptives at an early age have a relatively higher chance of developing uterine fibroids. 4. Placental lactogen

There are generally many factors that cause uterine fibroids. Clinically, uterine fibroids grow faster during pregnancy, which may be due to the effect of placental lactogen promoting estradiol, rather than the effect of estrogen alone.
