Uterine fibroids are benign tumors located in the female reproductive organs and are a gynecological disease with a high incidence rate. Traditional Chinese medicine believes that uterine fibroids belong to the category of female lumps. According to traditional Chinese medicine differentiation, the main manifestations are as follows. Phlegm dampness Analysis: There are many reasons for the accumulation of phlegm and dampness in women, such as irregular diet, inappropriate hunger and satiety, or excessive consumption of fatty, raw and cold food, weak spleen and stomach, poor transportation and transformation, and poor distribution of water and grain essence, which will cause food stagnation, dampness and turbidity to condense into phlegm and qi stagnation. The main manifestations are lower abdominal mass, occasional pain, softness when pressed, and more vaginal discharge. If the patient is cold, the vaginal discharge will be white and sticky, the patient will be afraid of cold, the chest and abdomen will be stuffy, and the patient will urinate frequently; if the patient is hot, the vaginal discharge will be yellow and sticky, with a foul smell, or even like pus, with chest tightness and irritability, fever and thirst, less urine and yellow color, yellow and greasy tongue coating, red tongue, and a stringy or slippery pulse. Blood stasis Analysis: Female reproductive organs need to be nourished by Yin blood to maintain normal function. If women do not pay attention to keeping warm, or prefer cold food, or are easily angry and unhappy, they can all lead to cold blood stasis and qi stagnation and blood stasis. In addition to heavy menstruation, irregular menstrual cycle, increased leucorrhea, etc., severe abdominal pain is a typical feature of this type. The lumps in the cells are hard and fixed, and the pain is resistant to pressure, accompanied by a dark complexion, dry skin, dry mouth and no desire to drink. The tongue is red with petechiae on the edges, and the pulse is deep and astringent. Qi stagnation Analysis: Qi stagnation is mainly caused by female emotions. Poor Qi flow can lead to blood flow obstruction. Blood accumulates in the pelvic cavity, causing abdominal distension. The mass is not hard and can be moved by pushing. The pain may go up or down, and there is no fixed location. The tongue coating is thin, white and moist, and the pulse is deep and stringy. |
