Minimally invasive treatments for uterine fibroids

Minimally invasive treatments for uterine fibroids

In recent years, minimally invasive surgery has become the preferred procedure for the clinical treatment of uterine fibroids because it does not require surgery and only requires three small holes the size of green beans to be made in the abdomen. It mainly includes the following three minimally invasive methods.

1. Laparoscopic hysterectomy

Laparoscopic hysterectomy is performed on the basis of preserving the integrity of the abdominal wall, which has little interference with the patient's pelvic and abdominal environment. After surgery, the patient's gastrointestinal function recovers faster, with fewer complications and shorter hospital stays. Its minimally invasive characteristics make the patient suffer less pain and have better postoperative recovery effects.

2. Hysteroscopic myomectomy

If the uterine fibroids are located under the uterine mucosa, that is, submucosal uterine fibroids, the patient's minimally invasive surgical method should be hysteroscopic myomectomy to completely remove the submucosal fibroids, and the patient's recovery effect will be better after the operation.

3. Uterine fibroid ablation

Radiofrequency ablation of uterine fibroids is a thermal destruction technology that has developed rapidly in recent years. It mainly utilizes the high temperature effect of 60℃-90℃ generated by high-frequency electromagnetic waves. Under the guidance of B-ultrasound, the radiofrequency treatment source is passed through natural cavities such as the vagina and cervix, and accurately positioned at the site of the lesion, so that the temperature of the lesion tissue rises and high fever is generated, causing irreversible coagulation, degeneration and necrosis, and finally being well absorbed and excreted by the body, achieving better treatment effects.
