How to self-check uterine fibroids

How to self-check uterine fibroids

Uterine fibroids can cause a series of symptoms in the body. In daily life, women can perform self-examination through the following 4 steps to detect the disease as early as possible and provide the best treatment opportunity for subsequent treatment.

1. Observe blood

Uterine fibroids often cause increased menstrual blood volume, sudden false menstruation after menopause, and contact bleeding during sexual intercourse. Any vaginal bleeding symptoms other than normal menstruation should be taken seriously by women. They should go to the hospital for examination as soon as possible to find out the cause and treat it symptomatically.

2. Observe leucorrhea

Under normal circumstances, women's leucorrhea should be a slightly sticky, colorless and transparent secretion, and the amount of leucorrhea will slightly increase or decrease with the menstrual cycle. However, if there is purulent leucorrhea, bloody leucorrhea, watery leucorrhea or an abnormal increase in leucorrhea, these are all abnormal phenomena and you should go to the hospital immediately for treatment, as this may be a precursor to uterine fibroids.

3. Observe the mass

Women can lie flat on the bed on an empty stomach in the early morning, bend their knees slightly, relax their abdomen, and use both hands to explore and touch the lower abdomen from shallow to deep in order to find larger tumors. This is a key point in self-palpation of uterine fibroids.

4. Feeling of pain

Uterine fibroids often cause pain symptoms in women's lower abdomen, waist, back, sacrum, etc. Women should pay great attention to it in their daily life and observe changes in their bodies. If there are any abnormalities, go to the hospital immediately to rule out the possibility of uterine fibroids.
