Obvious abdominal pain after abortion should not be underestimated

If a woman has mild lower abdominal pain on the day of the abortion and it gradually disappears within a few days after the operation, this is generally normal. However, if the abdominal pain is obvious, do not take it lightly, as it may be due to the following two reasons.

1. Incomplete abortion

Incomplete abortion is caused by the failure to completely remove the villi and decidual tissue in the uterine cavity during surgery, and is a type of failed abortion surgery. In order to expel the remaining embryonic tissue out of the uterus in self-defense, the uterus will involuntarily undergo clonic contractions, and the patient will experience paroxysmal severe abdominal pain, often accompanied by increased vaginal bleeding. The blood is bright red with large blood clots. Once the blood clots are discharged, the abdominal pain will relieve itself, and this type of abdominal pain will continue to recur. Once an incomplete abortion occurs, the patient must not bear the pain, and should undergo a curettage operation in time to completely remove the residual embryonic tissue in the uterine cavity. Anti-inflammatory treatment should be strengthened after the operation to prevent the risk of local infection.

2. Uterine blood accumulation

Uterine fluid accumulation often occurs within a few hours after abortion. The patient will experience severe abdominal pain like a knife cutting, and a small amount of blood and water will flow out of the vagina. This is mainly caused by excessive tilt of the uterus or too tight cervical opening. During routine gynecological examinations, it will be found that the uterus has a significant tendency to increase in size and is painful when touched.
