What are the dangers of cervical fibroids

Uterine fibroids are the most common benign tumors of the female reproductive system. They are composed of smooth muscle and connective tissue. According to the location of the fibroids, they can be divided into uterine body fibroids and cervical fibroids. Cervical fibroids are a special type of uterine fibroids, with an incidence rate of about 10%. They grow at a low location, deep in the pelvis. Large ones can be embedded in the pelvis, making it difficult or impossible to expose the cervix and vaginal wall, causing stenosis and deformation of the cervical canal, affecting the passage of sperm. The specific hazards include the following:

1. Cervical deformation

Some patients may have no obvious symptoms, but during gynecological examination, protruding myoma nodules or changes in the appearance of the cervix may be seen. The cervix on the side where the myoma is located is enlarged, while the opposite side is compressed and thinned, and the external opening of the cervix stretches and flattens to form a twist shape.

2. Cause infertility

The tumor compresses the cervical canal, causing it to narrow and deform, affecting the passage of sperm. The inability of sperm and egg to combine into a fertilized egg will cause female infertility.

.

3. Bladder irritation symptoms

Some patients may experience bladder irritation symptoms such as frequent urination and urgency, as well as rectal symptoms.

4. Menstrual changes

Some patients may experience menstrual disorders, such as irregular menstruation, increased menstrual flow, etc.

In addition to the above conditions, patients may also experience increased vaginal discharge, anemia, low back pain, etc. When combined with infection, necrotic infection foci may occur.
