What are the early symptoms of ectopic pregnancy

Ectopic pregnancy, also known as ectopic pregnancy, refers to the fertilized egg "settling" in a part outside the uterine cavity. Such a fertilized egg not only cannot develop into a fetus, but is also as dangerous as a "time bomb". Once it ruptures, it will cause heavy bleeding and endanger the life of the pregnant woman. Although ectopic pregnancy is not a normal pregnancy, it will also cause early pregnancy reactions, the main manifestations include the following:

1. Menopause

Amenorrhea is one of the most obvious symptoms of ectopic pregnancy. Most patients experience a brief amenorrhea or delayed menstruation for several days before the ectopic pregnancy ruptures.

2. Abdominal pain and diarrhea

The incidence of abdominal pain can reach about 95%, which manifests as lower abdominal pain, a feeling of defecation, and sometimes severe pain, accompanied by cold sweats. Some patients may experience diarrhea symptoms. If the doctor does not carefully analyze the condition, it is easy to be diagnosed as indigestion or intestinal emergency.

3. Vaginal bleeding

Most patients with ectopic pregnancy experience a small amount of vaginal bleeding, which is usually spot-like, dark brown in color, and small in amount. A few may experience heavy bleeding.

4. Shock and syncope

If an ectopic pregnancy ruptures, it can cause heavy bleeding to accumulate in the abdominal cavity, causing a decrease in blood volume and acute abdominal pain. At this time, the patient may experience shock, manifested as fainting, confusion, and low blood pressure. If treatment is not timely, it will often endanger the patient's life.

In addition, patients with ectopic pregnancy will also experience symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, frequent urination, etc., and the pregnancy test will be positive. If the patient has the above symptoms, he or she should go to the hospital for examination in time to avoid life-threatening ectopic pregnancy rupture. Ultrasound can assist in diagnosis.
