Three major hazards of adnexitis

Three major hazards of adnexitis

Adnexitis is a common gynecological disease in women. Some female patients do not know enough about adnexitis and do not take timely treatment, which leads to adverse consequences.

So, what harm will adnexitis cause to women if it is not treated in time?

First, it affects the physiological function of the ovaries.

The most serious consequence of adnexitis is that the ovaries cannot perform their normal physiological functions. The ovaries not only play an important role in producing eggs, but also support women's secondary sexual characteristics, such as making breasts firm, the uterus full of vitality, and maintaining women's youth. If the ovaries cannot perform their normal physiological functions, it will lead to the weakening and disappearance of women's secondary sexual characteristics, and may also cause endocrine disorders and lead to premature aging.

Secondly, it causes ectopic pregnancy.

After adnexitis occurs, the constant stimulation of inflammation can cause edema of the fallopian tube, resulting in thinning of the mucosa, which is not conducive to the combination of sperm and egg. If not treated in time, the fallopian tube will become adhered and blocked due to necrosis of the mucosal epithelial cells, affecting the passage of sperm. Even if the sperm and egg combine, they cannot reach the uterus in time, which can cause ectopic pregnancy and threaten women's health.

Third, it causes female infertility

Adnexitis should be taken seriously by female friends, especially married women, as the incidence rate is very high. Although unmarried women have more barriers to resist germs than married women, they are also likely to suffer from adnexitis because there are more routes of infection. If acute adnexitis is not treated in time, it can develop into chronic adnexitis, block the fallopian tubes, cause ectopic pregnancy or infertility, and cause lifelong regrets.
