Ectopic pregnancy, also known as ectopic pregnancy, refers to the implantation and development of the fertilized egg outside the uterine cavity. Ectopic pregnancy is one of the acute abdominal diseases of gynecology. It not only causes serious harm to women's body and mind, but also threatens the patient's life, and even deprives women of the right to be mothers, making them regret for life. Under normal circumstances, the probability of ectopic pregnancy is relatively low, but for some patients with underlying diseases, their chance of ectopic pregnancy will increase significantly. Common diseases include the following three types: 1. Chronic salpingitis Patients with chronic salpingitis are prone to ectopic pregnancy, mainly because chronic salpingitis can cause adhesions in the fallopian tube mucosal folds, mucosal destruction, loss of epithelial cilia, narrowing of the fallopian tube lumen and adhesions to the surrounding area, twisting and deformation, ultimately affecting the normal movement of the fertilized egg in the fallopian tube and leading to ectopic pregnancy. 2. Abnormal development or function of fallopian tube Abnormal fallopian tube development or function, such as excessively long fallopian tubes, hypoplastic fallopian tube muscle layer, absence of mucociliary tissue, double fallopian tubes, and extra fimbria, can increase the risk of ectopic pregnancy. 3. After ligation, electrocoagulation or cuff surgery Commonly used methods of fallopian tube surgery include ligation, electrocoagulation or cuff method, etc. No matter which procedure is used, once fallopian tube fistula or fallopian tube recanalization is formed, the patient will have a higher risk of ectopic pregnancy after conception. This is directly related to factors such as narrowing of the fallopian tube lumen and poor patency caused by the surgery. |
