Introduction to conservative treatment of uterine fibroids

As a common benign tumor in gynecology, the treatment of uterine fibroids does not necessarily require surgery. As long as the conditions are met, the treatment of uterine fibroids can be carried out through conservative treatment methods, mainly expectant treatment and drug treatment.

1. Expectant treatment

Patients aged 40 to 50 years and above, who are near menopause and have no obvious symptoms such as excessive bleeding and pain, can be observed clinically for a period of time, and undergo gynecological internal examination and B-ultrasound examination every 3 months. If there is no rapid growth of the tumor, and the bleeding and pain symptoms are not aggravated, the uterine fibroids can be expected to shrink gradually with the increase of age and the decrease of estrogen levels. This is also a commonly used method in the treatment of early uterine fibroids.

2. Drug treatment

At present, conservative treatment is mainly based on drug treatment, which can avoid the pain and sequelae caused by surgical treatment of uterine fibroids. If drug treatment is not ideal, minimally invasive or surgical treatment will be considered. Chinese herbal decoctions and Chinese patent medicines are used to regulate the patient's endocrine system and microcirculation in the body, regulate blood and qi, disperse blood stasis and resolve nodules, and eliminate uterine fibroids from the source.

Whether surgery is needed for the treatment of uterine fibroids can only be determined after diagnosis by a professional doctor. Patients should actively undergo relevant gynecological examinations in the early stages of the disease, and let the doctor develop a detailed treatment plan for uterine fibroids based on the patient's actual situation.
