Noise may also cause amenorrhea

Noise may also cause amenorrhea

Our lives are now completely electrified. We have too many computers, TVs, refrigerators, washing machines, induction cookers, rice cookers, etc. When we go out, we also have our "never-giving-away" mobile phones. Electrical appliances cover our lives and have become our entire lives. However, the impact of the noise of these things on everyone has gradually been ignored by us, and we seem to have gotten used to it.

In fact, these noises may cause physiological amenorrhea in women. When women are disturbed by noise, the noise will directly stimulate the hypothalamus, pituitary gland, and ovarian axis system of women, causing reverse changes in hormones in the mother's body, leading to abnormal menstruation or even amenorrhea.

The function of the female hypothalamus-pituitary gland is to secrete gonadotropin-releasing hormone, but due to the influence of various stimuli from inside and outside the body, dysfunction between the central nervous system and the hypothalamus occurs, affecting the function of the pituitary gland. Among them, luteinizing hormone is often affected, resulting in ovulation dysfunction. When the degree of inhibition increases and follicle-stimulating hormone is affected, follicle development is impaired, and then amenorrhea occurs.

The most suitable volume for humans is 18-35 decibels, while the working noise of some common electrical appliances is much higher than this value and is not easily perceived by us, such as electric fans at 40-50 decibels, washing machines at 60-80 decibels, televisions at 50-70 decibels, hair dryers at 65-85 decibels, and radios at 70-90 decibels.
