How to prevent menopausal functional uterine bleeding?

Traditional Chinese medicine believes that women's menstruation is exhausted after 49 days, and the kidney qi is weak, and the Chong and Ren meridians are weak, with kidney deficiency being the main cause. As menopausal women's kidney qi gradually declines, their organs fail to function, and their spleen qi is weak, they often lose control and cause metrorrhagia. Therefore, menopausal functional uterine bleeding is more common with the spleen failing to control blood. Symptoms include sudden or continuous bleeding, pale color and thin blood, fatigue and shortness of breath, pale complexion, swollen eyelids, pale and fat tongue, and weak pulse. Treatment should be to invigorate qi and strengthen the spleen, and consolidate the Chong and Ren meridians. Menopausal women will have many uncomfortable symptoms. If they also have the problem of menopausal functional uterine bleeding, it is really distressing. Therefore, women before and after menopause should be alert to the occurrence of functional uterine bleeding and take preventive measures:

(1) Pay attention to menstrual hygiene: In addition to preventing the occurrence of systemic diseases, you must also pay attention to menstrual hygiene. Wash the perineum 1 to 2 times a day, and change menstrual pads and underwear frequently; maintain a moderate work and rest schedule, and try to avoid excessive mental stress.

(2) Pay attention to diet: The diet should be light, but ensure adequate nutrition and eat more foods rich in vitamin C.

(3) Improve anemia: Avoid spicy foods; use iron pans to cook; take iron-containing medications such as ferrous sulfate oral solution to increase iron intake and improve anemia.

(4) Precautions: Do not wade in the rain. Change your clothes promptly if they get wet to avoid the invasion of cold pathogens, prevent blood stasis caused by cold, and block the Chong and Ren meridians, which may lead to excessive bleeding or unclean bleeding.

(5) Do not abuse estrogen: Although estrogen can relieve many symptoms, it must be taken under the guidance of a doctor.
