What to do if your cervix is enlarged

Cervical hypertrophy is a pathological type of chronic cervicitis. It is mainly due to the long-term stimulation of chronic inflammation, which leads to cervical congestion, edema, hyperplasia, inflammatory cell infiltration and thickening of fibrous connective tissue, making the cervix larger and harder. Cervical hypertrophy can be restored through general treatment, drug therapy, physical therapy or surgical treatment under the guidance of a doctor.

1. General treatment:

Patients with cervical hypertrophy should pay attention to perineal hygiene, change underwear frequently, eat less spicy food such as peppers and mustard, avoid strenuous exercise, and try to avoid underwater activities in public swimming pools, bathhouses and other places.

2. Drug treatment:

When women suffer from cervical hypertrophy, if the symptoms are relatively mild, they can follow the doctor's advice and use drugs such as Gynecological Qianjin Tablets, Cefuroxime Capsules, Azithromycin Tablets, etc. for treatment.

3. Physical therapy:

If the symptoms of cervical hypertrophy are severe, you can also undergo physical therapy such as laser therapy, cryotherapy, microwave therapy, etc. under the guidance of a doctor, which can help reduce inflammation, relieve pain, and promote tissue repair.

4. Surgical treatment:

If a woman's symptoms of cervical hypertrophy are more severe, with erosion, irritation of the cervical canal, or accompanied by cervical polyps, she may undergo surgery to remove the eroded tissue or polypectomy based on the doctor's advice.

If the leucorrhea increases repeatedly or continuously, accompanied by vulvar itching, or abnormal vaginal bleeding, you need to go to the hospital as soon as possible to clarify the condition. Patients with cervical hypertrophy should maintain good hygiene habits and avoid multiple artificial abortions or intrauterine surgery.
