Common clinical symptoms of cervicitis

The incidence of cervicitis is still very high in clinical practice. Early detection of cervicitis symptoms is very important for the treatment of cervicitis. What are the common symptoms of cervicitis ? Here are some common symptoms of cervicitis.

In general, common symptoms of cervicitis include:

Gross: redness, congestion, edema of the cervical mucosa, and slight ectropion of the cervical canal are common symptoms of cervicitis.

Histology: The symptoms of cervicitis include vascular congestion, infiltration of a large number of neutrophils in the mucosa and submucosal tissues and around the glands, and purulent material in the glandular cavity.

The main symptom of cervicitis is increased leucorrhea. Symptoms of acute cervicitis include purulent leucorrhea, accompanied by pain in the lower abdomen and lumbosacral region, or bladder irritation signs such as frequent urination, urgency, and pain. Symptoms of chronic cervicitis include milky white mucous discharge, or light yellow purulent discharge; in severe cervical erosion or cervical polyps, bloody leucorrhea or bleeding after sexual intercourse may occur. In mild cases, there may be no symptoms of cervicitis in the whole body. When the inflammation spreads to the pelvic cavity along the uterosacral ligament, there may be common symptoms of cervicitis such as lumbosacral pain, a feeling of heaviness in the lower abdomen, and dysmenorrhea, which are aggravated during bowel movements and sexual intercourse. In addition, sticky and purulent leucorrhea is not conducive to the passage of sperm and can also cause infertility.

The above is an introduction to the common symptoms of cervicitis. I hope it will be helpful to everyone. Once the symptoms of cervicitis appear, you must go to the hospital for treatment in time to prevent the condition from getting worse.
