Chronic cervicitis is a very common gynecological disease. Many female friends, especially married women, are deeply tortured by chronic cervicitis . So how should chronic cervicitis be treated? Let the experts tell you how to treat chronic cervicitis

Chronic cervicitis is mainly treated locally, and physical therapy and drug therapy can be used, with physical therapy being the most commonly used.

1) Physical therapy: The principle of physical therapy for chronic cervicitis is to use various physical methods to destroy the single-layer columnar epithelium on the cervical erosion surface, so that it will necrotize and fall off, and then be covered by new stratified squamous epithelium. It takes 3 to 4 weeks, and 6 to 8 weeks for those with deeper lesions, and the cervix will become smooth. Currently, the commonly used methods are micron photocoagulation therapy, radiofrequency ablation therapy, microwave therapy, etc.

Before treating chronic cervicitis, a cervical scraping should be routinely performed for cytological examination. The treatment time should be selected within 3 to 7 days after the menstruation is over, and it is contraindicated for those with acute genital inflammation. Various physical therapies will increase vaginal secretions after surgery, and even a large amount of watery discharge. There may be a little bleeding when the scab falls off 1-2 weeks after surgery. Bathing, sexual intercourse and vaginal douching are prohibited during the period when the wound has not completely healed (4 to 8 weeks). Regular follow-up examinations are required after treatment to observe the healing of the wound until it is cured. During the follow-up examination, attention should be paid to whether there is cervical stenosis.

2) Drug treatment: Local drug treatment of chronic cervicitis is suitable for cases with small erosion area and shallow inflammatory infiltration. Generally, patients with mild chronic cervicitis often choose this method to treat chronic cervicitis.

The above is an introduction to how to treat chronic cervicitis. I believe everyone has a certain understanding of how to treat chronic cervicitis. Once you suffer from chronic cervicitis, you must treat it in time to avoid missing the best time for treatment.
