Analysis of common manifestations of menopausal syndrome

Menopausal syndrome is a series of symptoms caused by the decline of estrogen levels. In menopausal women, due to ovarian hypofunction, pituitary hyperfunction, excessive secretion of gonadotropin, autonomic nervous system dysfunction, a series of symptoms of varying degrees appear. So, what are the common manifestations of menopausal syndrome?

The main symptoms of menopause are menstrual changes, facial flushing, palpitations, insomnia, fatigue, depression, worry, emotional instability, irritability, difficulty concentrating, etc., which are called "menopausal syndrome." Most women have only mild symptoms because their ovarian function declines slowly, and the body's own regulation and compensation are sufficient to adapt to this change. Chinese medicine believes that menopausal syndrome is caused by insufficient kidney qi, the decline of Tiangui, and the imbalance of yin and yang. Therefore, in treatment, the main methods are to replenish kidney qi and adjust yin and yang.

A small number of women have obvious symptoms because their bodies cannot adapt quickly, but generally do not need special treatment. A very small number of symptoms are severe and even affect their lives and work, so they need drug treatment. It is generally believed that after women enter menopause, changes in family and social environment can increase their physical and mental burdens, making menopausal syndrome more likely to occur or aggravating some existing symptoms. For some women whose mental state is unstable, menopausal syndrome is more obvious, and they may even become moody. Although menopausal syndrome is caused by sexual physiological changes, the incidence rate is directly related to personal experience and psychological burden. For menopausal women who are more sensitive psychologically, physical discomfort is more likely to cause psychological changes, so various menopausal symptoms appear. Therefore, it is very important to pay attention to psychological adjustment.

Menopausal syndrome refers to the symptoms of various organ systems and body complex syndromes caused by changes in mental, neuroendocrine and metabolic processes during menopause. The aging of human life span is an important development trend in modern society. Therefore, health care and disease prevention and treatment of menopausal and postmenopausal women are important tasks faced by obstetricians and gynecologists and the entire society.

Menopausal syndrome is also called "pre-menstrual syndrome" in traditional Chinese medicine. It is mostly caused by the gradual decline of congenital kidney qi, the deficiency of Ren channel, the decline of Taichong channel, and the exhaustion of Tiangui when women are about to menstruate, which leads to the loss of yin and yang in the body, or the deficiency of kidney yin and the loss of yang; or the deficiency of kidney yang and the failure of meridians to warm and nourish, resulting in a series of symptoms of organ dysfunction. Symptoms include irregular menstruation, facial flushing, irritability or depression, dizziness, tinnitus, dry mouth and stool, etc., which are kidney yin deficiency syndrome; if symptoms include irregular menstruation, pale face, fatigue, fear of cold limbs, back pain, heaviness of genitals, poor appetite and loose stools, it is kidney yang deficiency syndrome; if irregular menstruation is accompanied by red cheeks and face, restlessness and insomnia, hot flashes and night sweats, sore waist and knees, dizziness, palpitations, high blood pressure, etc., it is kidney yin and yang deficiency; in addition, there are also deficiency of both heart and kidney.

Menstrual disorders are the most common and prominent symptoms of menopausal syndrome. After menopause, women often have delayed menstruation, or even only have menstruation once every few months, and the amount of menstruation gradually decreases. When estrogen becomes less and less and can no longer cause changes in the endometrium, menstruation stops, which is called menopause.

Cardiovascular and lipid metabolism disorders, hot flashes are one of the typical manifestations of menopausal syndrome symptoms. Some women will have bouts of hot flashes, blushing, sweating, often accompanied by dizziness and palpitations, due to the decrease in estrogen levels and blood calcium levels during menopause. The duration is one or two minutes or 12 to 15 minutes, and it will cause insomnia at night.

The motor system degenerates, due to the aging of the body, the body functions decline, and common manifestations of menopausal syndrome also include waist, back and limb pain. Some women may experience periarthritis of the shoulder, cervical spondylosis, etc.

Some women have more obvious fluctuations in blood pressure during menopause. The vast majority of menopausal women may have symptoms of menopausal syndrome such as emotional instability, impulsivity, personality changes, and memory loss.

Experts remind that the symptoms of menopausal syndrome are relatively complex and require a professional doctor's diagnosis to be confirmed. Menopausal women must not make random guesses, let alone take medication on their own, so as not to cause adverse consequences.

The common manifestations of menopausal syndrome are different for each menopausal woman and are relatively complicated. If menopausal symptoms affect your life and work, you can seek treatment under the guidance of a doctor.
