Trichomonas vaginitis is a very common disease, which is caused by the single-cell microorganism Trichomonas, so it is called Trichomonas vaginitis. So, what are the symptoms of Trichomonas vaginitis? Let's learn about it together.

During the examination, the vaginal mucosa may be congested, with scattered bleeding spots in severe cases, and a large amount of leucorrhea in the posterior fornix, which is grayish yellow, yellowish-white thin liquid or yellowish-green purulent secretions, often foamy. In patients with parasites, no abnormalities may be found in the vaginal mucosa.

A small number of patients have Trichomonas in the vagina without inflammatory reactions, and they are called carriers. Some people believe that Trichomonas alone cannot cause inflammation because it consumes glycogen in vaginal epithelial cells, changes the pH of the vagina, destroys the defense mechanism, and promotes secondary bacterial infection. Therefore, it often causes inflammation when the pH of the vagina changes before and after menstruation, during pregnancy, or after childbirth.
