Detailed explanation of the causes of cervical hypertrophy

Cervical hypertrophy is a common disease in female genitals. Simple hypertrophy will not have any effect on women's bodies, but if the condition worsens, it may lead to female infertility. The most important thing is to find out the cause of the disease in order to effectively treat and prevent it. So, what are the causes of cervical hypertrophy?

Cervical hypertrophy is a type of chronic cervicitis. It is an inflammatory change caused by pathogens infecting the cervical mucosa. The pathogens that cause this disease include mycoplasma, chlamydia, bacteria, and viruses. Simple hypertrophy will not affect pregnancy. Cervical hypertrophy can sometimes be 2 to 4 times larger than a normal cervix. The surface of the cervix can be smooth or eroded.

Chronic cervicitis caused by cervical hypertrophy is more likely to be caused by pathogens invading and infecting the cervix after childbirth, abortion or surgical injury. Chronic cervicitis has many manifestations, such as cervical erosion, cervical hypertrophy, cervical polyps, cervical glandular cysts, etc., among which cervical erosion is the most common.
