Symptoms of cervical erosion should be treated promptly

The symptoms of early cervical erosion are not very obvious, and many of them can be easily confused with other symptoms, which is something we should pay special attention to. So what are the symptoms of cervical erosion that can be easily confused with? Let's take a closer look.

Cervical erosion is caused by inflammation, which causes the epithelial cells covering the surface of the cervix to fall off, while the columnar epithelial cells underneath protrude outward and replace the fallen epithelial covering. Because the capillaries of the columnar epithelium are exposed, the inflamed area appears bright red, so it is called cervical erosion, but it is not true erosion.

Cervical erosion is the most common gynecological disease, which seriously affects women's health. The main symptoms of cervical erosion include: increased vaginal discharge, pelvic pain, frequent urination, and painful urination.

Cervical intraepithelial neoplasia is common in women of childbearing age. A large amount of epidemiological data shows that early age of first sexual life, multiple sexual partners, multiple births, a history of oral contraceptives and certain viral infections are high-risk factors for cervical intraepithelial neoplasia. The main symptom of cervical erosion in patients is increased vaginal discharge, sometimes accompanied by bloody discharge or contact vaginal bleeding.

Some patients may experience varying degrees of lumbar pain or abdominal distention. The cervix may appear eroded, enlarged, lacerated, everted, polyp-like, or translucent vesicles. The lesions are relatively fragile and easily bleed when touched. Some patients have smooth cervixes, and abnormal cervical erosion symptoms are only found during cytological or histological examinations.

Cervical cancer is the most common gynecological cancer, so we need to understand the symptoms of cervical erosion in order to detect and treat it in time.
