Postoperative care for ectopic pregnancy

Postoperative care for ectopic pregnancy

Ectopic pregnancy is the most common disease in female pregnancy. The main feature of this disease is that the fertilized egg cannot develop in the uterus, but develops in the cervix or fallopian tube. Because this situation will seriously affect the health of the fetus, surgery must be performed in time. So what kind of care do patients with ectopic pregnancy need after surgery?

1. Within 2 weeks after the operation, you should take a proper rest and avoid heavy physical labor. After an ectopic pregnancy, the patient should eat more nutritious food to restore the body to normal as soon as possible. Sexual intercourse is prohibited within 1 month to prevent genital infection. If you have been pregnant for one year. If you have fever, abdominal pain or vaginal discharge with odor, you should seek medical attention in time.

2. Even if the ectopic pregnancy surgery is very successful, if the life is irregular after the surgery, it will increase bleeding or leave sequelae. After the ectopic pregnancy surgery, you can rest in the hospital for a day or go home. In the next few days, I will go to the hospital for observation and treatment to ensure adequate rest.

3. After the operation, due to physical weakness, you often sweat easily. You should add a small amount of water several times to reduce water evaporation; more water-soluble vitamins are excreted in sweat, especially vitamin C, vitamin B1, and vitamin B2. You should eat more fresh vegetables and fruits. This is also helpful to prevent constipation.

4. Under normal circumstances, you can get pregnant after the ectopic pregnancy is cured, but you must first do relevant examinations such as hysterosalpingography to confirm whether the fallopian tube is unobstructed and check whether you have gynecological inflammation such as pelvic inflammatory disease and peritonitis. If the fallopian tube is blocked, do fluid first; if there is inflammation such as pelvic inflammation, take anti-inflammatory drugs first. If you get pregnant again when the inflammation is not completely eliminated, ectopic pregnancy may occur again due to inflammation in the other fallopian tube.

For any disease, no matter how serious it is, it needs care. Only through care can we ensure that the disease will not recur again. For women with ectopic pregnancy, the disease itself will cause great harm to the body. If you do not pay attention to conditioning after surgery, it will inevitably cause irreparable damage to the body.
