How to diagnose premature ovarian failure

How to diagnose premature ovarian failure

What are the diagnostic methods for premature ovarian failure?

In daily life, women must pay attention to taking care of their ovaries, otherwise their ovaries may fail prematurely. Premature ovarian failure has a great impact on women, not only affecting the patient's image, but also having a certain impact on health. If premature ovarian failure is suspected, you must go to the hospital for diagnosis in time. At present, the diagnostic methods of premature ovarian failure mainly include basic examinations, vaginal exfoliated cell examinations, laparoscopy, laboratory examinations, etc.

1. Basic inspection

To diagnose premature ovarian failure, it is necessary to ask the patient about menstruation and whether there are any uncomfortable symptoms such as dysfunctional uterine bleeding and amenorrhea. Pay attention to the female body shape and check the basal body temperature. If the basal body temperature is elevated, the corresponding gynecological examination can be used to observe that the vaginal mucosa is thin, accompanied by congestion, fewer wrinkles, and uterine atrophy.

2. Vaginal exfoliated cells

If you suffer from premature ovarian failure, this test can show that the patient has low estrogen levels, and that low-level cells will appear or be predominantly low-level cells.

3. Laparoscopy

Through laparoscopy, we can intuitively find out whether a woman's ovaries are normal. Patients with premature ovarian failure have small ovaries, severe atrophy, and no follicles. Through laparoscopy, it can be determined whether a woman has premature ovarian failure. In particular, through laparoscopy, the actual condition of the ovaries can be determined, and the accuracy will be higher.

IV. Laboratory and other tests

FSH is measured by endocrine hormones, and the LH level will be significantly high, while the E2 level will be low, generally reaching the level of female menopause. At this time, the diagnosis should be made after multiple tests.

5. Vaginal B-ultrasound examination

Vaginal B-ultrasound examination is another method to diagnose premature ovarian failure. Through vaginal B-ultrasound examination, we can find that most patients' ovaries have follicle-like structures. These follicles are luteinized prematurely and have no normal function. They are the result of ovarian hypofunction and follicular failure.
