Will ovarian cysts recur? What should patients pay attention to?

Has the ovarian cyst recurred? What should patients pay attention to?

Ovarian cysts are mostly treated with surgery, chemotherapy, radiotherapy, etc. at home and abroad, but most of them are difficult to cure. Malignant tumors have a short course and develop rapidly. Surgical resection or sensitivity to radiotherapy and chemotherapy are determined according to the degree of malignancy, and the early or late recurrence. Tumors recur and grow after surgery, and most patients will still relapse after surgery.

Ovarian cyst recurrence is not uncommon in clinical practice. Due to the environment of ovarian cysts in the body, the probability of disease recurrence is very high. The recurrence rate of ovarian cysts in the past was about 80%. Now some drugs such as progesterone can be used after surgery to reduce the recurrence rate to less than 30%.

Patients with ovarian cysts should pay attention to the following aspects:

1. Postoperative care of ovarian cysts must be checked regularly, and ovarian cysts are often discovered in time. Once an ovarian cyst is diagnosed, surgery should be performed as soon as possible. Malignant ovarian tumors should be treated with surgery, radiotherapy, and chemotherapy.

2. Cysts with a diameter less than 5 cm may be non-neoplastic cysts. Most ovarian cysts can disappear on their own, but regular follow-up is required. If they increase, surgery should be performed immediately.

3. Ovarian cysts may recur after surgery. Remember to go to the hospital for regular checkups.

4. Avoid eating greasy food. Due to fat accumulation, wounds cannot heal quickly and resistance to bacteria will be weakened.

5. Increase protein intake after ovarian cyst surgery. Protein can help wounds heal quickly and increase physical strength. You can choose fish because fish is easier to digest and absorb than pride.

6. Eat an appropriate amount of vegetables and fruits. Vegetables and fruits are rich in minerals and vitamins, which can improve resistance and help wounds heal quickly.

7. Drink plenty of water after ovarian cyst surgery. As the saying goes, drinking plenty of water can cure all diseases.
