What medicine to take for cervicitis

Cervicitis is one of the common gynecological diseases, which is divided into acute and chronic types, with chronic inflammation being the most common. Acute cervicitis is usually caused by infection. Common pathogens include Neisseria gonorrhoeae and Chlamydia trachomatis. It can often be cured with standardized and adequate antibiotic treatment. Chronic cervicitis is mostly caused by the invasion of pathogens after childbirth, abortion or surgical injury to the cervix, and is generally manifested as erosive changes, cervical hypertrophy, cervical polyps, cervical glandular cysts and cervical eversion. The treatment of cervicitis is mainly antibiotic treatment, but it needs to be used according to the doctor's orders to avoid antibiotic resistance.

Treatment for cervicitis mainly includes the following three drugs:

1. Cephalosporin antibiotics: such as cefuroxil capsules, cephalexin capsules, cefixime tablets, cefradine capsules, etc. They are broad-spectrum antibiotics with a relatively broad antibacterial spectrum and have a therapeutic effect on cervicitis caused by Gram-positive bacteria, Gram-negative bacteria, etc.

2. Quinolone antibiotics: such as norfloxacin capsules, ciprofloxacin hydrochloride tablets, ciprofloxacin hydrochloride capsules, moxifloxacin hydrochloride tablets, etc. This type of drug can inhibit the bacterial DNA gyrase, causing damage to bacterial DNA, thereby achieving antibacterial effects. It can be used for cervicitis caused by most Gram-positive bacteria and Gram-negative bacteria.

3. Antiviral drugs: such as acyclovir tablets, ribavirin tablets, etc. If the patient's cervicitis is caused by a viral infection, antiviral drugs can be used for treatment.

The specific drug selection needs to be determined based on the patient's condition and the doctor's advice. During the medication period, you need to strictly follow the doctor's instructions and avoid increasing or decreasing the dosage or changing the method of medication on your own. At the same time, maintaining good living habits and hygiene habits will help promote recovery.
