You may not believe it, but I have gained 17 kilograms in the 17 years since I started teaching. That means I gain one kilogram every year! Most people may say that gaining one kilogram is nothing, but compared with my weight of 45 kilograms when I was an artist, it is actually shocking. Last year, I found that my heaviest weight was as high as 61. I lost 5 kilograms, which made me nervous because it was not good for my health and appearance, so I made up my mind to lose weight gradually and get back to 45 kilograms.

I spent a year referring to all the weight loss methods and found the most suitable and healthiest way for myself. I called it the "Satisfaction Weight Loss Method". I used this method and have lost 13 kilograms so far, an average of one kilogram per month. Friends who haven’t seen me for a long time are always surprised and ask me how I lost weight? Now, let me share it with you.

1. Drink at least 700 CC of boiled water before meals

Everyone knows his meal time. At least spend twenty minutes to slowly drink 700 CC of boiled water before eating. This actually takes up some space in the stomach, so at least you won't eat too much at that meal.

2. Eat protein first, such as meat and eggs, before eating anything else

My principle is not to push myself too hard, so that I can develop good weight loss habits, rather than using drastic diets and methods to lose weight instantly, which will make me gain weight again easily. If you really want to eat a certain food, go for it! As long as you don't overeat, there is no need to restrict yourself painfully. If you gain weight today because of a big meal. Five kilograms. I reminded myself to control myself in the next two days and get my weight back.

3. Weigh yourself every day

No matter how busy you are, you should weigh yourself naked every morning and evening, because this is the most accurate measurement when your weight is not covered with clothes. If you eat properly, it is common to lose 0.2 to 0.3 kg per day.

4. Get enough sleep

One of the reasons why I gained weight in the past was long-term lack of sleep. I had to get up at 3:30 in the morning every day to prepare for speaking engagements across Taiwan. I only slept three hours a day on average, so my body had no way to metabolize and burn fat, so of course I gained weight.

5. Don’t eat starch for dinner

In daily life, I will try to finish dinner before six o'clock. If I have an important dinner that day, it will be an exception. The principle is to try not to eat starchy foods for dinner.

6. Don’t eat after 4 p.m.

This is the method that is only adopted when there is a special task that requires quick weight loss. If you want to eat, drink some whey protein with small molecules or boiled vegetables. Both of these are low in calories and will make your stomach feel full.

7. Exercise is a must

Especially when you reach a bottleneck in weight loss, exercise will be able to help you lose weight more effectively.

In fact, I have always emphasized that you should never make yourself suffer when losing weight. I usually drink a cup of coffee and eat some dessert after my first meal, because it is a small ritual in life that makes me happy, and I will not ban it just because I want to lose weight. Moreover, my job often requires me to have dinner with students after class in the evening. I can't tell my students that I'm on a diet and can't eat this or that. That would be a real bummer!

If there is a dinner party, I will still go to eat, but I will control the amount I eat. If I eat too much, I will pack up the food and take it home so as not to spoil everyone's fun. The body works like this: when your cells tell you they want to eat, you have to let them eat; the more you suppress them, the more they eat when they can't help themselves. There is a way that may help you relieve your temporary cravings, and that is to chew slowly. When you chew your food longer, your brain cells receive the message that you have eaten a lot and feel satisfied. This way, you won't eat too much.

As long as you eat in the right order and method, it doesn't matter if you break the rules occasionally. Otherwise, what's the fun in life if you can't enjoy your appetite? Even if I want to lose weight, I don’t want to force myself. I want to lose weight healthily and happily, which is the most effective and lasting way.
