100kg fat man successfully loses 33kg after stomach reduction surgery

Mr. Lu, now 35 years old, always eats 2 to 3 lunch boxes for one meal. In addition, he loves snacks and desserts, so his weight has skyrocketed while he was studying and growing up. Although I have tried many weight loss methods in the past, including dieting, spending money on direct-sale meal replacements, and even taking diet pills, I once lost 20 kilograms. However, this produced a yo-yo effect in weight loss. Not only did my weight become heavier than before, I once weighed as much as 114 kilograms, and my BMI (body mass index) was as high as 39.

Mr. Lu, who has been struggling with his weight, is 171 cm tall. He still weighed 102 kg and had a BMI of 35 two years ago. He was also diagnosed with diabetes. As the effect of medication control was always poor, he was introduced by relatives and friends to the China Affiliated Hospital to receive treatment from Dr. Huang Zhikun, Director of the International Metabolic and Physical Medicine Center, and underwent gastrectomy surgery. Now, one year after the operation, my weight is maintained at 69 kg, and my BMI is 24, which is the ideal value. I have finally achieved the healthy life I have longed for.

Don’t want to gain weight and fall into a vicious cycle? Consult a professional doctor and formulate a comprehensive plan to help improve

Huang Zhikun said that in the face of obesity problems, people with a body mass index (BMI) ≥ 27 should not trust folk remedies or diet pills of unknown origin, which will disrupt the body's balance mechanism, cause a yo-yo effect, and cause them to gain weight more and more, and even fall into a vicious cycle. It is recommended to choose a medical institution with international professional certification, consult professional doctors, find out the root cause of obesity, and plan a comprehensive weight loss plan. This is a good way to effectively lose weight and regain a healthy body and mind.

Integrate the resources of the interdisciplinary medical team to provide professional medical care tailored for obese patients

In order to effectively help obese patients achieve an ideal and healthy new life, the International Metabolic and Physical Medicine Center of the China Medical University Hospital has integrated all the resources of medical institutions to establish a central medical team, coordinating the resources of internal medicine, surgery, family medicine, psychiatry, clinical psychologists, nutritionists, sports therapists and other departments. Through the joint cooperation of different departments, it can comprehensively deal with obesity problems for patients.

Ensure the quality of surgery and care SRC international certification is guaranteed

Since its establishment in April 2016, the International Metabolic and Physical Medicine Center of the China Medical University Hospital has performed nearly 400 weight loss and diabetes surgeries, including more than 30 international patients. In June 2017, the hospital was recognized by the Surgical Review Corporation (SRC) and became a certified "Center of Excellence in Metabolic & Bariatric Surgery".
