Antioxidant! Supplementing astaxanthin to eliminate free radicals

Skin aging is a topic of common concern to many people. Health experts remind us that regardless of gender, the skin begins to age at the age of 25. In particular, the production of a large number of free radicals can easily lead to the degeneration and breakage of collagen and elastic fibers in the dermis. Therefore, if you want to keep your skin "ageless", you must first moderately supplement with some antioxidants, which can not only make the skin hydrated, but also reduce the occurrence of cardiovascular diseases.

Antioxidant ingredients reduce cardiovascular risk

Vincent Wood, an internationally renowned doctor of microbial engineering at the University of London, pointed out that free radicals and oxidative stress are risk factors for cardiovascular disease, and oxidized low-density lipoprotein (LDL) is also the culprit for atherosclerosis. Astaxanthin has the ability to eliminate free radicals and reduce the production of oxidized low-density lipoprotein.

Studies have confirmed that consuming moderate amounts of foods containing antioxidant ingredients, such as vitamins C and E, catechins in green tea, coenzyme Q10, lipoic acid, and astaxanthin, can help reduce the oxidation reaction of low-density lipoprotein (commonly known as "bad cholesterol") in the body, reduce the formation of plaques in blood vessels, and the risk of stroke and arteriosclerosis.

Astaxanthin, a new anti-aging product, can resist oxidation

Other studies have also found that the astaxanthin in salmon, fish eggs or algae in the ocean has a strong antioxidant capacity. It can not only effectively remove free radicals in the body and reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease, but also reduce skin anti-aging phenomena. In fact, astaxanthin has become the new favorite for anti-aging in the 21st century.

Because scientists have discovered that the orange-red muscles of salmon contain a large amount of astaxanthin, which may be one of the reasons why salmon can swim upstream for thousands of miles; and international research has confirmed that astaxanthin allows muscles to effectively utilize oxygen and reduce lactic acid accumulation. It can not only reduce repetitive muscle injuries, but also greatly increase muscle oxygen utilization and enhance muscle endurance and muscle strength.

Skin aging: Start with dietary changes

Dr. Vincent Wood emphasized that skin aging is definitely related to diet, because everyone will age, but aging can be delayed. The first priority is to protect cells from damage by free radicals, so you must eat more fruits and vegetables, because fruits and vegetables contain antioxidants such as vitamins A, C, E, and necessary vitamins and fiber, which can protect skin cells from free radical attacks.

In particular, to prevent skin aging, daily anti-oxidation is equivalent to the first step in preventing aging. It is recommended to completely protect against the sun and use antioxidant products in combination. This can repel the excessive free radicals accumulated in the bottom layer of the skin and maintain cell stability. This is especially true for men and women after the age of 25. The skin function gradually begins to decline, so they must pay more attention to anti-aging and wrinkle removal issues.

Super vitamins for anti-oxidation and anti-aging

Basically, astaxanthin is a super antioxidant. Clinical experiments have found that the antioxidant capacity of astaxanthin is 6,000 times greater than vitamin C, 800 times greater than coenzyme Q10, 560 times greater than green tea catechins, and 110 times greater than vitamin E. So far, no other antioxidant can compare with it, so it is known as a "super vitamin" or "vitamin X."

It is worth noting that although astaxanthin is not limited to salmon and lobster, it is also found in trout, snapper, shrimp and fish eggs. If you want to take astaxanthin through food, you need to eat at least 400 grams of salmon or more than 1 kilogram of shrimp every day to achieve the desired effect. However, this kind of diet may cause you to take in too much cholesterol and fat before you get enough astaxanthin, which may put a burden on your body.

【Health care tips】:

To avoid unscrupulous food, it is important to choose products from big brands. Basically, the current high concentration of astaxanthin is mainly extracted from red algae. Because shrimps and crabs accumulate astaxanthin in their bodies by eating algae, the astaxanthin concentration in shrimps and crabs is not as high as that in red algae. Therefore, if you want to obtain astaxanthin efficiently, it is recommended to choose the concentrate extracted from red algae, which is safer and more appropriate.
