According to statistics from the Obesity Research Society of the Republic of China, approximately 70% of pregnant women in the country suffer from postpartum obesity, and only 30% of pregnant women can successfully recover to within 10% of their pre-pregnancy weight. Gynecologists have concluded that the possible causes of postpartum obesity are mainly the decrease in placental hormones causing a slowdown in metabolism, excessive intake of high-fat and high-calorie foods during pregnancy, eating too much sesame oil chicken and other supplements during the confinement period but lack of exercise, etc. If fat cannot be eliminated for a long time, it will easily turn into stubborn molecules and be more difficult to lose, especially in the abdomen.

  • Note: Unlike most people who do sit-ups, new mothers who have just given birth only need to do half of them.

  • step:

    1. First lie on your back with your knees bent and your feet and palms flat on the ground.

    2. Use the strength of your waist and abdomen to slowly support your upper body, but do not sit up completely. Just maintain an angle of about 15° with the ground.

    3. Do the same movement 30 times, 5 times a day. After each movement, gently massage your waist and abdomen to relax the muscles.

  • Note: When pressing down, you need to exhale to relieve pain, relax your back naturally, and do not apply excessive force during exercise. Just feel the abdominal muscles stretching and squeezing.

  • step:

    1. Keep your legs together and straight, hold your knees with your hands, and keep breathing naturally.

    2. Place the palms of your hands on the inside of your knees, open your legs naturally into an "eight" shape as far as possible, and extend your toes as far out as possible.

    3. Grab the toes of your feet with both hands, slowly push your body forward, keep your abdomen close to the ground, relax your back and waist, and look straight ahead. Hold this position for 10 seconds.

Essential Oil Massage

  1. Add 3 drops of rosemary essential oil to your shower gel and wash your body. Massage in circular motions on your abdomen for about 15 to 20 minutes.

  2. You can also make your own essential oil by mixing 5 ml of jojoba oil, 5 ml of sweet almond oil, 2 drops of lavender essential oil, 2 drops of jasmine essential oil and 1 drop of citrus essential oil. Take an appropriate amount each time you massage, and massage your abdomen or obese areas in circles.

Acupressure

  1. When lying flat, use your index finger to press the water point one finger above your navel to help eliminate excess water in the body, promote gastrointestinal motility, exercise your abdominal muscles, and avoid edema.

  2. Press the Tianshu point one finger wide on both sides of the navel and the Guanyuan point 4 finger widths below the navel to help eliminate belly fat.
