The secret lies in using tools such as palms, bowls, cups, and spoons to calculate "balancedly and accurately", so that although he is middle-aged, his physical age is only 34 years old. "Hong Taixiong does not have a background in nutrition, but he verified the theory of using diet to control weight as an amateur!" Xiao Ningxin, a professor of nutrition at the Department of Biochemical Technology at National Taiwan University, is the consultant for Hong Taixiong's new book. She said that the principle of controlling weight is to eat calories that meet your needs and be aware of how much you actually eat.

Professor Xiao Ningxin pointed out that unlike most books on weight loss that are based on women's personal experiences, Hong Taixiong truly implemented this nutritional concept. She laughed and said, "This kind of effective experiment for housemen is not common!" She emphasized that although this method sounds cumbersome at first, as long as you practice more, you can get the hang of it in 3 months.

Hong Taixiong said that he originally had many red marks in his health check-up, but his condition improved significantly after he successfully lost weight. Now he is only 34 years old. He pointed out that the principle of maintaining a healthy weight in the past two years is to calculate his basal metabolic rate, the calories needed for activities and the calories needed to digest food, and then use different daily life gadgets to measure the portions according to different nutritional categories.

  • Cup: Capacity is about 240CC, suitable for milk and soy milk. 1 cup of low-fat milk contains about 120 calories, and 1 cup of unsweetened soy milk contains about 55 calories.

  • Bowl: The capacity is about 280 to 300CC, suitable for whole grains, root vegetables, and fruits. A bowl of whole-grain rice contains about 280 calories, a bowl of boiled vegetables contains about 50 calories, and a bowl of 80% full fruit contains about 60 calories.

  • Spoon: The capacity is about 15CC, suitable for oils and fats. 1 tablespoon of nuts has about 45 calories.

  • Palm: Based on your own palm, it is divided into 3 liang hands, 4 liang hands, and 5 liang hands according to the size of the palm. One portion is the size of the palm, which is suitable for meat, fish, beans, and eggs.

In addition, Hong Taixiong also advocates that "smooth bowel movements every day" is an important key to healthy weight loss, because constipation is the enemy of weight loss and is also bad for health. There are five tips for smooth bowel movements:

  • "Press": Massage your stomach in the morning and evening to help gastrointestinal motility.

  • "Drink": Drink 500CC of warm water and some camellia oil on an empty stomach when you wake up.

  • "Swing": Perform waist exercises.

  • "Food": Eat more fiber-rich vegetables and other foods that promote bowel movements.

  • "Defecation": Develop a good habit of regular bowel movements.
