The first batch of samples from Food Paradise were released, and no poisonous bacteria were found

In response to the suspected food poisoning case at "Food Paradise", the Taipei City Health Bureau released the first wave of inspection report results today, the 13th. Two samples of oysters, which are suspected to be the culprit, have had their results released, and neither was found to contain food poisoning bacteria. However, the oysters taken from the Jing Station store had E. coli levels exceeding the standard value. The Health Bureau said it will make improvements within a specified period of time. If re-sampling still does not comply with hygiene regulations, a fine of NT$30,000 to NT$150,000 may be imposed.

The Taipei City Health Bureau recently collected 41 samples from the Mingyao, Jingzhan, and Xinyi stores of Food Paradise, 5 of which were oysters. Chen Liqi, director of the Food and Drug Administration, said that the first wave of inspection results for 6 items were completed, including 2 oysters, 2 sashimi, 1 water and 1 ice cube each. Norovirus or Vibrio enteritidis and other food poisoning bacteria were not detected in the 2 oyster samples from Mingyao store and Jingzhan store.

However, samples of oysters from the Jingzhan store were found to contain excessive levels of E. coli and did not meet hygiene standards. The store has been notified to improve its performance within a specified period of time. If re-samples still fail to meet the standards, a fine of 30,000 to 150,000 yuan will be imposed.

Such a result is not surprising. Chen Liqi said that when the health staff inspected the Beijing Station store before, they found that the working environment of the Beijing Station store did not meet the health regulations. The disciplinary letter was officially sent out today, and a fine of 60,000 yuan was imposed in accordance with the "Esophagus Law".

There are still a number of samples, including three oysters, whose test results have not yet been released. The Taipei City Health Bureau said that if there are any new results, they will be announced to the public in a timely manner.
