The Dragon Boat Festival is approaching, and various kinds of rice dumplings suitable for the occasion have begun to be promoted in the market. Most people need to pay attention to issues such as cholesterol and calorie intake, but for cancer patients, they can actually use some alternative ingredients under the guidance of a nutritionist and still enjoy the deliciousness of rice dumplings without losing their health.

Tainan Municipal Hospital's Single Window for Cancer Resources (also known as the Care Station) has recently received many inquiries from cancer patients or their families: "How to eat zongzi, what to eat, and what not to eat." Obviously, there are many questions and myths. Some patients even asked questions like, "My stomach feels bad after chemotherapy. Can I eat rice dumplings?"

Tainan City nutritionists recommend using alternative methods to prepare seasonal food so that people can still enjoy the festive atmosphere. Cancer volunteer Ms. Cai used her many years of experience in taking care of her husband who had cancer, together with Zhang Lijuan, head of the nutrition department of the Municipal Hospital, to develop a recipe for rice dumplings suitable for cancer patients. They also used the weekends to work with interns and volunteers to make more than 500 rice dumplings. These rice dumplings will be sent by the care center to cancer patients at Nanshi Hospital on the eve of the Dragon Boat Festival.
