Laugh and be a healthy mother: old folk remedies for pregnancy and childbirth (Part 1)

To be a healthy mother, you must first be a healthy pregnant woman. During pregnancy, what should pregnant women pay attention to in order to be healthy and happy?

Uneasy fetal movement, a sign of miscarriage. Peanuts, red dates and eggs stewed together are the first choice for fetal health food therapy.

Old folk remedy: Take 2 eggs, 50-100 grams of peanuts, and 10-20 red dates. Boil the eggs first, peel them, and put them into a stewing pot with peanuts and red dates. Add water and stew over medium heat for about 1 hour. Add sugar to taste and take 3 times a week.

Not long ago, I met an expectant mother who developed symptoms of lower back pain, abdominal pain, and a feeling of heaviness in the lower abdomen as soon as she became pregnant, and sometimes had a small amount of vaginal bleeding. After going to the hospital for a check-up, the doctor said it was a sign of miscarriage. Further examination revealed that the cause was low progesterone levels in her body. The doctor asked her to take an injection of progesterone every day to supplement it. This expectant mother took the injection for a month, and her symptoms such as back pain and abdominal pain showed significant improvement. However, the price she paid was that several lumps grew at the injection site, and her buttocks hurt when she sat down, which was very uncomfortable.

When she took another blood test, the doctor told her that the progesterone level was still insufficient and she would need to take injections for about another month. After hearing this, the expectant mother felt that she did not have the courage to continue taking the injection for another month. It just so happened that she was familiar with one of my patients and heard that I had many old folk remedies, so she came to me to see if I could help her.

After listening to her, I understood the feelings of this expectant mother very well. Seeing that her condition was currently stable, I told her that she could try a folk remedy to preserve the fetus first.

Method: Take 2 eggs, 50-100 grams of peanuts, and 10-20 red dates. First, boil the whole egg, peel it, and put it into a stewing pot with peanuts and red dates. Add water and stew over medium heat for about an hour. Add sugar to taste and take it at least 3 times a week.

It should be noted that this folk remedy is not suitable for everyone. The condition must be closely observed. Once the effect is not good and severe back pain, abdominal pain or even vaginal bleeding reappears, injections must be continued.

When she heard that there was a way to preserve the fetus without injections, the expectant mother nodded repeatedly. She came back for a follow-up check-up a week later and told me that she was doing well that week and had no adverse symptoms. I asked her to continue taking it, and she took it for a month. Then she had a blood test and found that her progesterone level had returned to normal. She continued to take the medicine for more than a month, and finally the fetus was saved and she gave birth to a healthy baby boy.

The ingredients of this folk remedy are all pregnancy-maintaining supplements, but most people do not quite understand the principle behind it. Peanuts, as the name suggests, are flowers that bear fruit, and literally have the effect of preserving pregnancy. Peanuts are rich in vitamin E, which has another name called "tocopherol". Because this ingredient has a significant impact on reproduction and development, its deficiency will damage reproductive function, and supplementation can restore reproductive function.
