Shusen shoulder meat with ractopamine for sale 4,000 kg

Lean meat is being traced continuously! On the evening of the 20th, the Taipei City Government Health Bureau discovered that the "shoulder hot pot slices" sold by Shusen Company, as reported by the New Taipei City Government Health Bureau, were found to contain 3.974ppb of ractopamine (standard: not detectable). After investigation, it was found that a total of 4,604 kilograms of this batch of imported beef were sold to Dinghao Supermarket from October 5 last year to March 6 this year. Currently, 176 kilograms (44 boxes) have been recovered and transported to Shusen Company's Keelung warehouse (No. 23, Gongjian South Road, Qidu District, Keelung City) for sealing.

As of today, the Department of Health has imposed a fine of NT$960,000 on Shusen Company based on the number of products that violated Article 11, Paragraph 1, Item 5 of the Food Sanitation Management Act, which states that "the content of animal drugs exceeds the safe tolerance," and in accordance with Article 31 of the same Act (a fine of NT$600,000 to NT$6 million). It has also ordered the destruction of its products in accordance with Article 29, Paragraph 1 of the same Act.
