The prevalence of vitiligo is about 1-2%, and it most often occurs in young people between the ages of 10 and 30. 50% of patients develop the disease before the age of 20. Treatment methods include topical medication, light therapy, and surgical treatment to allow melanin to regrow in the white spots and improve skin color.

Zeng Xinglong reminds that in terms of diet, you can eat more foods containing vitamin B group, such as black beans, milk, carrots, spinach, etc. When going out, you should pay special attention to sun protection, because the white spots lack the protection of melanin and are more likely to get sunburned due to excessive exposure to the sun, and even increase the risk of skin cancer.
