What should you pay attention to in your diet during menopause?

Amenorrhea is a common symptom of gynecological diseases and can be caused by various reasons. Amenorrhea is usually divided into primary and secondary types. Primary amenorrhea refers to menstruation after the age of 18, while secondary amenorrhea refers to menstruation that lasts for more than 6 months after menarche and before normal menopause, except during pregnancy or lactation. So, what foods should women pay attention to in their diet?

1. Avoid eating cold food: various cold drinks, cold dishes, cold fruits, cold water products and other foods can cause vasoconstriction, aggravate blood stagnation, and cause menstrual blood to close, so they should be avoided.

2. Avoid foods that are not good for nutrition and blood: such as garlic, kohlrabi, tea, white radish, kimchi, pickled mustard, winter melon, etc. Eating too much will cause damage to blood production, lack of menstrual blood, and lead to amenorrhea, so they should be avoided.

3. Avoid greasy food: These foods are high in protein, cholesterol, and fat. Eating too much can easily lead to overnutrition in the body, further increasing fat accumulation, aggravating obesity, blocking meridians and pulses, and preventing menstrual blood from flowing normally. Therefore, try to eat less or avoid eating them.

4. Avoid carrots: The amenorrhea diet therapy advocates eating less carrots, because although carrots are rich in nutrients, they can cause amenorrhea and inhibit ovarian ovulation.

If protein and vitamins are deficient, endocrine gland function can be reduced, pituitary synthesis and gonadotropin secretion can be inhibited, and the response of target organs to hormones can be reduced, for example, the sensitivity of the endometrium to sex hormones. The main cause of amenorrhea is improper diet, such as partiality and picky eating, which leads to insufficient intake of protein, lipids and vitamins in food. Patients should have targeted dietary adjustments.
