Does a right ovarian cyst cause menstruation? What symptoms occur?

1. Ovarian cysts are common gynecological diseases, generally divided into benign and malignant, and are most common in the age group of 20 to 50 years old. Generally speaking, there are no particularly obvious symptoms in the early stages of this disease, but as the cyst grows, the patient will gradually feel it.

2. Ovarian cysts generally manifest as dysmenorrhea, menstrual disorders, vomiting, abdominal distension, etc. The cause of the disease is generally due to endocrine disorders, some are also caused by the influence of fallopian tube inflammation, and some are caused by endometriosis.

3. Ovarian cysts can cause mechanical obstruction of the fallopian tubes and may also affect ovarian function, which may affect conception. Generally speaking, when the diameter of the cyst is less than 5 cm, the patient can follow up and have regular checkups. If the cyst is significantly enlarged, surgical removal should be considered. If the cyst does not shrink but increases after several months of treatment, and is larger than 5 cm, it is recommended to undergo surgical treatment before pregnancy. Because ovarian cysts may affect conception, even if you are pregnant, it may have adverse effects on pregnancy.

4. Menstruation will still occur with right ovarian cysts. Some ovarian cysts with endocrine function may produce certain corresponding hormones due to the different tumor tissue components they contain, thereby interfering with the normal secretion of ovarian hormones and ovulation, resulting in amenorrhea, uterine bleeding, hirsutism and infertility. Some malignant or huge ovarian tumors destroy most of the ovarian tissue, which may cause ovarian dysfunction, anovulation, adhesion to surrounding tissues, and blockage of fallopian tubes, all of which can cause infertility.
