The dangers of vaginal candidiasis

The main harm of candidal vaginitis is obvious itching symptoms, which affects work and life; secondly, it can cause cervicitis, endometritis, salpingitis, and infertility; and patients with pregnant women complicated with candidal vaginitis are prone to premature rupture of membranes, amniotic cavity infection, neonatal thrush, etc.

First, patients with candidal vaginitis have a significant increase in vaginal secretions, which are mostly white and resembling tofu dregs. The itching is generally severe and lasts for a long time. In severe cases, patients become restless, which is more obvious at night and affects their daily lives.

Second, candidal vaginitis causes the balance of vaginal microecology to be disrupted, resulting in vaginal bacterial infection. Further invasion of pathogens can lead to endometritis and inflammation of the fallopian tubes. If pus accumulates there, it will form fallopian tube pyosalpinx. The accumulation of fluid and pus in the fallopian tubes can lead to infertility.

Third, for patients with vaginal candidiasis during pregnancy, fungi can penetrate the fetal membranes through the vagina and cause premature rupture of the membranes, leading to miscarriage and premature birth. In addition, the fetus may also be infected by fungi during vaginal delivery, often causing thrush, and some infants may also develop candidal dermatitis around the anus.

Expert Tips: The hazards of candidal vaginitis can be divided into three main points:

1. Patients suffer from vulvar itching and restlessness, which seriously affects their work and life.

Second, it will affect the balance of vaginal microecology, leading to further invasion of pathogens and causing other inflammations.

3. Patients with pregnancy complicated by candidal vaginitis may experience premature rupture of membranes, neonatal thrush, etc.
