Is adenomyosis a solid mass?

Patients with adenomyosis will develop other gynecological diseases if they are not treated in time. Early detection and early treatment are very helpful for cure. So, is adenomyosis a solid mass?

Adenomyosis is a solid mass characterized by the presence of ectopic endometrium and glands in the myometrium, accompanied by hypertrophy and proliferation of surrounding myometrial cells. It is therefore called intrauterine endometriosis, while endometriosis in the pelvic cavity is called extrauterine endometriosis.

Patients with adenomyosis will experience increased menstrual flow and prolonged menstrual periods. We have found that these symptoms are usually due to the increase in uterine volume and endometrial area, which affects the contraction of uterine muscle fibers. Patients with tenderness but a normal uterus may also have adenomyosis.

Surgery is the main method for endometriosis. It removes the lesions under direct vision with a clear range and nature. It is effective in relieving pain and promoting fertility. The course of treatment is short, especially for severe cases with more fibrosis and tight adhesions, which are not easy to be effective with drugs. For larger ovarian endometrioid cysts, drug treatment is ineffective, and surgery may still preserve effective ovarian tissue. Surgery can be divided into three types: conservative surgery, semi-radical surgery, and radical surgery.

Through the above analysis, I believe everyone has understood that adenomyosis is a solid mass, and drug interactions may occur when used with other drugs. For details, you need to consult a doctor or pharmacist, which will be more conducive to the treatment of the disease.
