How long does it take for uterine prolapse to develop to third degree?

Uterine shedding is a common saying, which is actually what is commonly called uterine prolapse in clinical practice. There is a new term for uterine prolapse, called pelvic floor dysfunction disease. In fact, the female is called the pelvic floor, which is the location of the reproductive organs, a bit like the normal pelvic structure. If the structure is damaged or physiological processes, this firmness or tissue structure will change, so the uterus and surrounding organs will fall, because people stand, so uterine prolapse will occur.

1. Delivery injury is the main cause of uterine prolapse. Delivery, especially difficult delivery, prolonged second stage of labor or vaginal delivery, can easily cause damage to the cervix, cervical cardinal ligament, sacroiliac ligament and pelvic floor muscles. If the supporting tissue cannot return to normal after delivery, uterine prolapse is likely to occur.

2. Ovarian dysfunction leads to a decrease in estrogen secretion, which weakens and relaxes the pelvic floor support tissue, making uterine prolapse more likely to occur or aggravate the original degree of prolapse.

3. Congenital developmental abnormalities: Uterine prolapse in nulliparous women is caused by poor development of the supporting tissues of the reproductive organs.

4. Severe malnutrition can lead to muscle atrophy, relaxation of the pelvic fascia, and loss of support for the uterus.

5. Increased abdominal pressure. Long-term chronic cough, constipation or straining during defecation can increase abdominal pressure and promote uterine prolapse.

Uterine prolapse grade III refers to the entire uterine body and cervix being separated from the vaginal opening, which generally affects urination and quality of life and requires surgical treatment.
