How to calculate the menstrual cycle?

The menstrual cycle is counted from the first day of menstruation.

The process of female menstruation is the process of endometrium shedding, and regular menstruation is an important sign of reproductive maturity. Generally speaking, women begin to menstruate around puberty, and menstruation is a menstrual cycle from the first day of menstruation to the next month. Under normal circumstances, a woman's menstrual cycle is 21 to 35 days, and most women's menstrual cycle is about 28 days. However, women's menstruation is affected by many factors, such as mood and nutrition, and may be advanced or delayed, which is usually a normal phenomenon within a week.

In addition to observing the menstrual cycle, whether a woman's menstruation is normal should also be analyzed for the duration and volume of menstruation. Under normal circumstances, a woman's menstruation lasts for 2 to 8 days, most of the time it is 3 to 7 days; the normal menstrual volume is 20 to 60 ml. If it exceeds 80 ml, the menstrual volume is excessive.

Women's menstruation is mainly related to the hormone level in the body. As the ovarian follicles grow, the hormone level in the body will change periodically. When the decline in hormone levels in the body cannot support the endometrium, the endometrium will fall off, thus forming menstruation. After a woman becomes pregnant, due to the increase in hormone levels in the body, the endometrium will no longer fall off, and menstruation will stop. During lactation, due to the increase in prolactin levels, menopause may also occur for a period of time.

If a woman has abnormal menstruation, she should seek medical attention promptly to identify the cause and receive standardized treatment.
