What tests are needed for acute vaginitis? Examination: Through routine gynecological examination, preliminary screening for possible sexual diseases is carried out, and secretion samples are taken for necessary examinations. 1. Vaginal secretion examination Check the pH and cleanliness of the vagina to see if there is any infection with fungi, trichomonas, bacterial clue cells, or pus cells. 2. Vaginal secretion culture Check which pathogen is causing the infection, and provide doctors with accurate diagnosis basis. Drug sensitivity test. Detect which drugs the pathogen is sensitive to, so that targeted drugs can be used to improve treatment effect. 3. Use Gram staining to check for common pathogens, no fungi or trichomonas For fungal vaginitis, secretions are used as smears and stained with Gram stain. Groups of Gram-positive, densely stained oval spores can be found under the microscope, or pseudohyphae can be connected into chains or branched germination cells. The most reliable method is to perform fungal culture examination. 4. For trichomoniasis, take the secretions and mix them with a small amount of warm saline dripped on a glass slide for microscopic examination. Active vaginal Trichomonas can be seen. If Trichomonas cannot be found under special circumstances, the culture method can be used for examination, and the test results are highly accurate. 5. The examination of secretions of senile vaginitis should be different from that of trichomonas and candidal vaginitis. Pay attention to the size and shape of the cervix and uterus, the source of bleeding and the results of vaginal cytology. If necessary, perform a cervical or endometrial biopsy to rule out the possibility of uterine cancer. |
