Sequelae of dysfunctional uterine bleeding

Sequelae of dysfunctional uterine bleeding

Functional uterine bleeding, referred to as functional blood, is a common gynecological disease, which refers to abnormal uterine bleeding. After diagnosis, no organic lesions of the whole body and reproductive organs were found, but it was caused by dysfunction of the neuroendocrine system. It manifests as irregular menstrual cycle, menorrhagia, prolonged menstruation or irregular bleeding. What are the sequelae of functional uterine bleeding?

In fact, women's reproductive function depends on the maintenance of the hypothalamus-pituitary-ovary-uterus axis. Under the regulation of this axis, various sex hormones are secreted in a coordinated manner, leading to the periodic development of follicles, ovulation, corpus luteum formation, corpus luteum atrophy, and the formation of a physiological menstrual cycle. If the reproductive axis is dysfunctional, it will lead to poor follicular development, anovulation or corpus luteum dysfunction, resulting in menstrual disorders and infertility. Many women unilaterally believe that as long as there is menstruation, there must be ovulation. This idea is somewhat deviated from the actual situation.

Abnormal ovulation has become one of the three major problems of infertility. According to statistics, the number of patients with abnormal ovulation infertility is increasing year by year. Polycystic ovary syndrome, luteinized unruptured follicle syndrome, and anovulatory functional uterine bleeding are very common in clinical practice.

The sequelae of functional uterine bleeding can lead to menstrual disorders. Infrequent menstruation, frequent menstruation, excessive menstruation, irregular menstruation, prolonged menstruation, scanty menstruation, and mid-term bleeding. Don't worry after understanding the situation and treat it normally.
