Is the right ovarian cyst benign and serious? What are the consequences?

What are the consequences of a serious benign right ovarian cyst?

1. In a normal ovary, only one follicle can survive normally, and the other follicles can only die slowly during the growth process and will atrophy. This is mainly because the pituitary gland produces too much hormone, causing it to lose balance with the corpus luteum, resulting in the ovaries not ovulating, the ovaries cannot completely degenerate, and eventually a follicular cyst is formed.

2. Generally speaking, whether an ovarian cyst is serious depends on the size and nature of the ovarian cyst. The clinical manifestations are lower abdominal pain, lower abdominal discomfort, increased leucorrhea, yellow leucorrhea, leucorrhea odor, abnormal menstruation, usually a firm and painless swelling in the lower abdomen, and sometimes pain during sexual intercourse.

3. When the cyst affects hormone production, symptoms such as irregular vaginal bleeding or increased hair growth may occur. It is best for female friends to first determine whether it is benign or malignant, and it is best to remove it before pregnancy.

4. Ovarian cysts may cause mechanical obstruction of the fallopian tubes and may also affect ovarian function, thus affecting pregnancy. Generally speaking, when the cyst diameter is less than 5 cm, the patient can be followed up and re-examined regularly.

5. If the cyst grows significantly, surgical removal should be considered. If after several months of treatment, the cyst grows instead of shrinking and exceeds 5 cm, surgical treatment is recommended before pregnancy. Because ovarian cysts may affect pregnancy, even if pregnancy occurs, it may have an adverse effect on pregnancy.
