The difference between uterine fibroids and cervical cancer

Cervical cancer will show abnormal enlargement of the cervix in B-mode examination, unclear boundaries, uneven echoes, strong local echoes, rich blood flow signals, and lesions that can invade the cervical muscle layer. Usually, the lesion boundaries are unclear. Since cervical cancer is a malignant disease, surgery may be required as soon as possible after the diagnosis is confirmed, and all female uteruses may be removed. The pelvic lymph nodes may also be cleaned and the appendages removed. There is a big difference between cervical cancer and uterine fibroids.

How many times should I receive radiotherapy for advanced cervical cancer?

Depending on the patient's tolerance, if the patient is intolerant, the number of treatments may be reduced. Some patients in the middle and late stages do not have the opportunity for surgical treatment, so radiotherapy needs to reach a radical dose. The prognosis of cervical cancer is closely related to clinical staging. For patients who cannot undergo surgical resection, radiotherapy often achieves better results and reduces the risk of recurrence and metastasis.

Cervical cancer stage 3 survival rate

The third stage of cervical cancer is relatively late. Cervical cancer at this stage invades the tissues around the uterus, including the bladder, ureters, and rectum. Surgery cannot be performed, and the cutting is not clean, which is prone to many complications. During this period, cervical cancer can only be treated with radiotherapy or chemotherapy. The third stage of female cervical cancer means that the cancer cells of cervical cancer have been full of pelvic metastasis, but there is no distant metastasis, and there is no possibility of a ten-year survival rate. The ten-year survival rate of the third stage of cervical cancer may be less than 5%.
