How is adenomyosis diagnosed?

All women are particularly afraid of diseases such as adenomyosis, mainly because the disease can lead to infertility, but fear cannot solve the problem. Everything should start with practical action. So, some people may ask, what is the diagnosis of adenomyosis?

Generally speaking, the diagnosis of this disease is not difficult based on the patient's childbearing age, the typical symptoms of secondary dysmenorrhea in multiparous women and the special signs of adenomyosis. The diagnostic value can also be further determined through diagnostic B-ultrasound, hysterosalpingography, MRI, laboratory tests, and CA125, but attention should be paid to identifying certain diseases during the diagnosis process.

The diagnosis of adenomyosis is:

1. Pelvic adenomyosis: The patient also has dysmenorrhea, and a mass in the pelvis can be felt, which is immobile. The uterus is of normal size, retroverted and fixed. Ultrasound examination can show adnexal masses on one or both sides, and the diagnosis is made based on clinical symptoms.

2. Uterine fibroids: Patients generally have no dysmenorrhea, and gynecological examinations show an enlarged uterus with uneven nodules, hard texture, no tenderness, and good uterine activity. Ultrasound examination shows clear boundaries between the uterine muscle wall mass and the surrounding tissues.

3. Functional uterine bleeding: The patient has no dysmenorrhea, irregular menstruation, increased menstrual flow or prolonged menstruation, and there are no abnormalities in gynecological examination, uterus and bilateral adnexal areas. B The diagnosis is confirmed by diagnostic curettage and pathological examination, and there are no abnormal echoes in the pelvic cavity.
