What causes cervical erosion in women? 4 reasons for cervical erosion

Cervical erosion is a common gynecological disease. In the past, the incidence group was among women aged 35 to 50. However, clinical statistics in recent years show that the incidence of cervical erosion has reached 90% among gynecological diseases suffered by young women aged 17 to 23. The phenomenon of cervical erosion at a younger age is becoming more and more serious, and young women should pay enough attention to it.

Experts say that cervical erosion is not an independent disease, but a manifestation of chronic cervicitis, which is caused by human papillomavirus infection. After cervical erosion occurs, vaginal discharge often increases and becomes thicker, and may occasionally be purulent or bloody, accompanied by backache, abdominal pain, and a heavy feeling in the lower abdomen. Sexual intercourse may also cause contact bleeding or odor.

There are four main causes of cervical erosion:

1. Premature sexual activity and too many sexual partners. Premarital sex is common among young people today. Premature sexual activity, frequent changes of sexual partners, and excessive sexual activity (more than 4 times a week) are causes of cervical erosion that cannot be ignored.

2. Unclean sexual life. Because premarital sex is mostly kept secret, and young people do not have a stable source of income, they cannot create a stable and clean sexual environment, so the chance of getting sick is greatly increased.

3. Multiple artificial abortions. Premarital sex leading to multiple artificial abortions, diagnostic curettage, cervical dilation and other gynecological surgeries may cause cervical injury or inflammation, and eventually lead to cervical erosion.

4. Excessive cleaning. There are many female cleaning products on the market. If you choose improperly, using a high concentration of disinfectant to flush the vagina will not only affect the growth of normal vaginal flora and reduce its ability to inhibit bacteria, but also cause varying degrees of cervical epithelial damage and eventually erosion.

Young women often become the ultimate victims of sexual diseases due to their lack of self-protection awareness, and are reluctant to seek medical treatment for various reasons after becoming ill. Director Xing reminds everyone that if women with cervical erosion are not examined and treated in time, their chances of developing cervical cancer are 7 times higher than those of healthy people. Therefore, paying attention to sexual hygiene, avoiding repeated miscarriages, properly washing the vulva, and having regular gynecological examinations are the fundamentals to stay away from cervical erosion.
