What are the symptoms of female cervical erosion and what are the treatments for female cervical erosion?

Women cannot ignore the problem of cervical erosion. Cervical erosion is the most common chronic uterine inflammation, which manifests itself in symptoms such as increased vaginal discharge, vulvar itching, or pain in the lower abdomen and lumbosacral area. Some patients may also experience frequent urination, difficulty urinating, or even infertility. Therefore, active examination and treatment are necessary after these symptoms occur to reduce the harm of these diseases.

1. The main symptoms are:

Increased leucorrhea: Increased leucorrhea is the main symptom of this disease, sometimes it is bloody or mixed with blood.

Vulvar itching and pain: The vulva and vagina may be stimulated by increased leucorrhea, which may lead to vulvitis or vaginitis and cause vulvar itching and pain.

Pain in the lower abdomen and lumbosacral region: When the inflammation is severe, it may cause pain in the lower abdomen or lumbosacral region along the uterosacral ligament, accompanied by a feeling of falling.

Frequent urination or difficulty urinating: When the inflammation spreads to the bladder trigone or around the bladder, frequent urination or difficulty urinating may occur.

Infertility: Thick leucorrhea is not conducive to sperm penetration, so severe cervicitis can cause infertility.

2. Treatment Methods

There are generally three types of cervical erosion: mild, moderate, and severe. If a woman is of childbearing age and has mild cervical erosion and no symptoms, she does not need to be treated. There are some physiological factors that cause erosion. If it is moderate to severe erosion, it must be confirmed in a regular hospital. Except for cervical cancer, some physical treatments can be performed. Microwave, laser, freezing, and radiofrequency ablation are more commonly used. These treatments are more effective. Generally, one treatment may be good, and two treatments may be enough.

3. Drug treatment

It is suitable for patients with small erosion surface, shallow inflammatory infiltration or limited conditions. 25% silver nitrate, chromic acid and other local corrosion are used locally. The vagina should be irrigated before medication, and then wiped dry with dry cotton balls, and the normal vaginal mucosa should be protected with cotton balls. The drug can also be applied locally with Aibao (preferably by a doctor) or vaginal suppositories are applied by yourself. Drug treatment is mainly suitable for non-pregnant patients with mild to moderate cervical erosion, but drug treatment generally takes a long time and costs more.

4. Sexual intercourse and bathing are prohibited after taking the medicine

Any drug cannot be used for a long time: especially in the vaginal environment, long-term use of drugs can easily lead to vulvovaginal pseudocandidiasis, that is, dysbacteriosis. Therefore, it is not suitable to use drugs for a long time if there is severe cervical erosion, and long-term use of drugs will not be good for severe cervical erosion, so it is better to do physical therapy after eliminating acute inflammation.
